III. RAMUNĖ NAŠLĖNIENĖ
Born in Klaipėda, lives in Gargždai. The artistic woman chose the path of a teacher back in her youth and still works as a technology teacher at Gargždai Minija Progymnasium. There is hardly a traditional handicraft the technique of which Ramunė Našlėnienė does not know – she spins, weaves, does tablet weaving, braiding, knits, sews, and embroiders. Not only does she delve into the traditions and crafts of folk art herself, but she also passes on the experience gained to students, conducts workshops in traditional handicrafts for adult groups. She has been embroidering and sewing textile bags, delmonas, for six years. The patterns embroidered in Ramunė Našlėnienė's delmonas, the colourful fabric pieces, ribbons, and bead rows merge into a harmonious whole and become unique creations.
