Straw Garden Weaving Courses in Klaipėda | Workshops in Klaipėda

On October 15 (Wednesday), October 20 (Monday), and October 22 (Wednesday) at 5:30 p.m., straw garden weaving courses will take place at the Klaipėda Ethnocultural Centre.

During the course, participants will learn the subtleties of straw preparation, the techniques of garden weaving, and traditional ornamentation. Everyone will immerse themselves in the meditative process of creating their own unique multi-tiered straw garden. The result will surely bring joy!

Traditionally, straw gardens were hung above a baby’s cradle, gifted to newlyweds, and used to decorate homes on special occasions. We invite you to preserve this beautiful craft and take delight in the gardens you create.

The course will be led by certified traditional crafts master Margarita Macijauskienė.
