Europe Day Picnic

We invite you to the “Europe Day Picnic”!

On May 9, Europe Day is celebrated across the continent – a perfect occasion to come together and celebrate what unites us: peace, democracy, and solidarity. Klaipėda Ethnoculture Centre invites you to join the “Europe Day Picnic” on May 9 at 3:00 PM in Danė Square.

The atmosphere of the event will be created by the Lithuanian Navy Orchestra (conductor Z. Šimkus), together with soloist Edita Bodrovaitė-Rukienė and the band “Saulės kliošas”.

Near the “Arka” monument, visitors will be able to explore the exhibition “Europe in Comics”, initiated by the French Embassy in Lithuania, creatively presenting the history of the European Union.

During the picnic, a fair will take place, inviting visitors to learn about the benefits and opportunities offered by various EU institutions and programmes. Klaipėda Centre of National Cultures will host creative workshops organized by German and Ukrainian communities. A lawn games area will also be set up in Danė Square, offering fun activities for families and friends.

Bring a blanket, a good mood, and join the celebration – let’s enjoy spring, nature, and Europe together!
